Uniform Closing Dataset
Improving closing data integration and consistency
On September 29, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) published updated resources to help lenders and technology service providers prepare for UCD v2.0 adoption and the transition of Phase 3B Postponed and Phase 4 edits. The GSEs previously announced the mandate dates for the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) will be provided in Q4 2026. This timing provides additional flexibility in recognition of the competing priorities facing industry partners.
Part of the Uniform Mortgage Data Program® (UMDP®), the Uniform Closing Dataset (UCD) is an ongoing effort by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to provide a common industry dataset supporting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) Borrower Closing Disclosure.
