UCDP Submission Summary Report Messaging Updates Supporting the Transition to UAD 3.6

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) continue to support the industry’s transition to the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 and Forms Redesign. Beginning on November 2, 2026, all new appraisal report submissions must be submitted to the Uniform Collateral Data Portal® (UCDP®) using UAD 3.6. After this date, only revisions to previously submitted UAD 2.6 appraisal reports may be submitted; all new UAD 2.6 submissions will receive a Fatal severity message and a “Not Successful” UCDP status.

In support of the transition, the GSEs will introduce a new Warning message to alert users ahead of the November 2, 2026 UAD 3.6 mandate. The Warning message will appear in the Proprietary Edit Findings section of each GSE’s respective UAD 2.6 Submission Summary Report (SSR) starting in August.

Phased UAD 2.6 Messaging in UCDP

  • Starting August 6, 2026, a Warning message will be returned for all UAD 2.6 submissions. The message will remind users that they should transition to UAD 3.6.
  • Starting November 2, 2026 (UAD 3.6 mandate), a Fatal message will be returned, and a “Not Successful” status will be assigned for all new UAD 2.6 submissions.

These messages are intended to reinforce awareness of the UAD 3.6 mandate and to promote alignment across lenders, appraisal management companies, appraisers, and vendors ahead of the mandatory UAD 3.6 transition date. The GSEs urge lenders to start ordering UAD 3.6 appraisal reports before the mandate to ensure a smooth transition.

Refer to the Fannie Mae UCDP Messaging Guide for UAD 2.6 and Freddie Mac Proprietary UCDP Feedback Messages for UAD 2.6 for a full list of messages, including those related to the mandate referenced above.
