Uniform Appraisal Dataset Announcements
The Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) and Forms Redesign initiative will leverage extensive stakeholder input to update the appraisal dataset, align it with the industry-standard MISMO® Reference Model Version 3.X, and overhaul the uniform appraisal forms to establish a more flexible, dynamic structure for appraisal reporting.
New Uniform Residential Appraisal Report Training | November 18, 2024-The Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) and Forms Redesign team has published the Industry’s Guide to the New URAR. The course educates all stakeholders on the dynamic appraisal reports and updated dataset. It includes the Appraisal Update Report and the Completion Report. For appraisers seeking continuing education (CE) credit, training will be available beginning in 2025 from appraiser education providers. |
Updated UAD redesign timeline with specific implementation dates | October 28, 2024-Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the GSEs) have published a detailed implementation timeline for the industry migration to the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) 3.6 and dynamic Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR) that provides specific implementation dates. While the timeline has not changed, we’ve updated previously provided quarters with specific dates to help the industry develop more detailed plans for implementation activities. |
New Lender Readiness Kit | June 11, 2024-Supplement to the previously published Partner Playbook. This document helps lenders prepare for and adopt the updated UAD and retire the existing appraisal forms. It offers timelines and roadmaps to keep lenders on track, and additional resources to learn more along the way. |
New Legacy Forms to Redesigned Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR) Property Type Characteristics | June 11, 2024-Helps the transition to the new report by providing clarification on how existing appraisal form numbers map to the URAR’s new dynamic structure and discrete and repeatable data. |

UAD redesign report to industry stakeholders | March 14, 2022-Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have issued a report describing the input and development process for the new Uniform Residential Appraisal Report (URAR), which will replace individual appraisal report forms on a future date. |
