Acceptance/Integration Environment Password Reset

We appreciate you taking the time to review this important information. The following provides an overview of the Fannie Mae Acceptance/Integration environment User and System ID password expiration updates, and steps you will need to take.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your Fannie Mae Integration Support Team.

User IDs

What updates have been made?

  • The password expiration for all User IDs within your organization for Fannie Mae’s Acceptance/Integration environment has been set to 90 days by Fannie Mae.
  • If they haven’t already, users ID owners will be prompted to perform an initial password reset, and every 90 days thereafter.
  • Beginning 10 days in advance of their password expiration date, user ID owners will receive four email reminders with instructions for resetting their password. Each notification will include a self-serve password reset link.
  • IMPORTANT: User ID owners who do not update their password prior to the expiration date will lose access to Fannie Mae’s Acceptance/Integration environment.

What should you do?

  • Administrators: Because you are unable to provision/manage User IDs within the Acceptance/Integration environment, the update must be made by the user ID owner. If a user ID owner contacts you for support, please direct them to the self-serve password reset link.
  • User ID Owners: Follow the steps below to reset your password.

Step 1:    Click on the self-serve password reset link.

Step 2:    Enter your User ID and click continue.

Step 3:    User will receive an email with a temporary passcode, which is valid for only 30 minutes.

Step 4:    Enter the passcode and click Submit Passcode.

Step 5:    A New Password screen appears. Enter a new password per the criteria listed on the screen and click Change Password.

  • For user ID owners who do not reset their password by their 90-day expiration date, the User ID will be locked but can still be reset using the self-serve password reset link. However, after 180 days the ID will be deactivated, and support will be required by the Fannie Mae Integration Support Team to reactivate the User ID.

System IDs

What updates have been made?

  • The password expiration for all System IDs within your organization for Fannie Mae’s Acceptance/Integration environment has been set to 365 days by Fannie Mae.
  • Fannie Mae is requesting organizations to reset their Acceptance/Integration System ID password every 365 days.
  • The system ID owner will receive six notifications starting 60 days prior to the expiration date.

What should you do?

  • Administrators: Because you are unable to provision/manage System IDs within the Acceptance/Integration environment, the update must be made by the system ID owner through the Fannie Mae Integration Support Team. If a system ID owner contacts you for support, please direct them accordingly.
  • System ID Owners: Contact the Fannie Mae Integration Support Team so they can coordinate the System ID password reset for you.
  • After this initial reset, System ID passwords will need to be reset every 365 days.
