Reporting Your Delinquent Loans Manually One at a Time into HSSN
HomeSaver SolutionsTM Network (HSSN) allows you to report delinquent loans to Fannie Mae by keying them in one at a time. You must submit your data by the second business day of each month and submit any corrections by the tenth of the month. However, you do not have to wait until the end of the month to report your data. You can submit data as you receive it throughout the month.
Note: It is a reporting best practice not to wait until the tenth business day to submit your data file in case there are issues when uploading your file. For example, if you are reporting your delinquency data for January you can start entering data on the eleventh business day in January and continue until the second business day in February at which point you must have submitted the delinquency data for all your loans that were delinquent in January.
- Click Add New Delinquent Loan from the menu within HSSN.
Do not be confused by the word “new.” You must report all your delinquent loans regardless of whether you reported the same loan in a previous month.
The Add New Delinquent Loan screen appears.
- Enter the following data on the Add New Delinquent Loan screen:
- Select your Seller/Servicer Number from the drop-down. This field is required.
- Enter the 10-digit Loan Number in the Loan Number field. This field is required.
- Select the appropriate delinquency Status Code from the Status Code drop-down list. This field is required.

- Select the appropriate Reason Code from the Reason Code drop-down list. This field is required.

- Enter the Effective Date in the Effective Date field using the mm/dd/yyyy format. This field is required for codes 09, 12, 15, 17, 33, 69, 71, 80, AW, BF, and H5.

- Enter the Completion Date in the Completion Date field using the mm/dd/yyyy format. This field is required for codes 09, 12, 15, 17, and BF.
Refer to Delinquency Status Codes for assistance on how to complete this field.
- Select Forbearance Program Type Code (0) from the Forbearance Program Type Code drop-down list.
Note: If you selected a value other than 0 for the Forbearance Program Type Code, you must select the appropriate Imminent Default Indicator (Yes or No) from the Imminent Default Indicator drop-down list.
- The Forbearance Program Payment Date field is the date the forbearance payment was received during the last reporting month.
- Click Submit.
You will receive a confirmation message at the top of the screen confirming that the loan has been reported successfully.
