Note: You will only see the enhanced HTML version of the DU Underwriting Findings report in your Loan Origination System (LOS) if your LOS requests the corresponding file type for it, which is 16.

  1. To identify messages that have been added, deleted, or changed since your last submission, toggle Show Changes to ON at the top left of the page. This feature is only available in reports that have at least two submissions.

Examples of the Show Changes (Track Changes) Function
This function displays message changes that have occurred since the previous DU submission. For example, if you turn it on after the 3rd DU submission, the changes between the 3rd and 4th DU submissions are displayed. Only two submissions can be compared.

Notice that messages are formatted with bold text, bullets, and hard returns to add emphasis to specific text and support readability. The Message ID number at the end of each message is a unique identifier that remains the same across multiple submissions and can be used as a reference number to which you can refer when requesting assistance.

  1. The Filtering function allows you to view only messages related to Day 1 Certainty. To filter messages, in the View drop-down list, select Day 1 Certainty.

Note: In the Classic version of the DU Underwriting Findings report, if there is more than one loan application, only the Primary Borrower, and if applicable Co-Borrower, on the first loan application are listed at the top of the DU Underwriting Findings report and the Underwriting Analysis report. Even though DU supports four borrowers, the most that are displayed in the Underwriting sections are two borrowers. However, the DU messages provide results for all applicable borrowers included in the first loan application.
