(Update) Determining How to Remit Funds on a Repurchase Request 

Before you concur to a repurchase request, follow these steps to determine whom to contact for the amount to remit and next steps:  

  1. First determine if the loan is Active or Liquidated. To do this simply navigate and expand the Remedies widget. The data will be displayed in the SIR Loan Status field.

  2. For Active loans, contact your Servicer to obtain the remittance amount. You can locate the Servicer information in two different areas on the loan:
    1. Under Your Options/Repurchase on the Remedy Status tab.



      OR

    2. Expand the Participant widget and view the Contact Name that is located under the Servicing Responsible Party section.

  1. Once you obtain the servicer information, you will need to send an email to the Servicer requesting wiring instructions and the calculations of the repurchase remittance amount. Please ensure a copy of the resolution request letter is attached to the email. Refer to Viewing Letters and Historical Communications to download a copy of the resolution request letter.  
  2. For Liquidated/REO/Inactive loans, send an email to [email protected] for a loss reimbursement/repurchase statement from Fannie Mae. 
  3. For additional instructions, click I need Remittance Amount.
