SMDU UI Loss Mitigation User Guide
This reference guide provides information on how to use the Servicing Management Default Underwriter™ User Interface (SMDU™ UI) to perform a variety of actions, such as:
- Using SMDU to evaluate a loan for a retention workout and/or borrower eligibility of a Short Sale and Mortgage Release™
- Determining if a loan is in imminent default
- Reporting Trial Period Plan Payments
- Closing and/or canceling an active retention case
- Creating a case to send a workout to Fannie Mae for review and approval: Modification, Short Sale, Mortgage Release, Charge Off or Second Lien Consideration
- Uploading documentation in support of an active case being reviewed by Fannie Mae
- Viewing and/or downloading loss mitigation-related case letters issued by Fannie Mae
To access these user guides, you must be registered and have the appropriate username and password credentials for accessing the SMDU UI.
