Administrator Managed Password Reset Process

This job aid explains how to reset a password if your organization is set to Administrator Managed. 

  1. Go to the Reset My Password link, enter your User ID, and select Submit.

  2. The following message will appear and you will receive an email with a temporary password reset link to reset your password.

  3. Once you receive the password reset email, select Verify Request to confirm your User ID and you will be navigated to set up a new password.

Note: Your password link will be valid for the next 30 minutes, you will need to resubmit a password reset request if 30 minutes are exceeded.

If you do not receive an email with the verification link, please follow the steps below:

  1. Confirm the User ID that you entered is accurate.
  2. Confirm the email address on your User Profile with your administrator.
  3. If you have not received the email within 15 minutes, return to step 1 and repeat steps 1 through 3 above.
  1. Once the User selects Verify Request, the following message is displayed.

  2. The User will receive an email notification that the Administrator received an email to approve their password reset request.

  3. The Administrator will receive an email to approve the password reset request and will select Review Request.

  4. The Administrator will log into Technology Manager to approve the user’s password reset request by going to the Pending Requests tab and selecting Approve.

  5. Upon the Administrator’s approval, the User will receive an email regarding their approved request, to proceed, select Reset Password.

  6. Enter your User ID and select Submit.

  7. The following Password Reset message appears, and User will receive an email with a temporary password reset link to reset their password. Select Verify Request.



If you do not receive an email with the verification request link, please follow the steps below:

  • Confirm that the User ID that you entered is accurate.
  • Confirm with your administrator that the email address in your User Profile is accurate.
  • If you have not received the email within 15 minutes, repeat steps 1 through 3 above.
  1. Once the User selects Verify Request, they will be navigated to set up a new password. Select CHANGE PASSWORD.

Note: Your new password must be different than your previously used passwords.

  1. The Password Reset Complete message will appear and the User will receive an email indicating their password has been reset successfully.
