Borrower Address & Unit Identifier Job Aid

The purpose of this job aid is to help provide additional information on how the Street Address and Unit Identifier fields should be entered. This document will provide an overview of the acceptable submission methods for these two data points, as well as provide detailed examples for each point individually.

For detailed instructions on how to perform other tasks, see the Loan Delivery User Guide, eLearning tutorials, or other job aids. If you do not have access to Loan Delivery and require it, please contact your Technology Manager administrator.

Fields to be Delivered

  • SID 10: AddressLineText (Property Street Address)
  • SID 13: AddressUnitIdentifier (Property Unit Identifier)
  •  SID 548: AddressLineText (Mailing Street Address)
  • SID 553:  AddressUnitIdentifier (Mailing Street Address)

How to Deliver Fields

Scenario Scenario Description Street Address Example Appropriate Downstream Format
A Address, Unit Designator, and number are all entered on the existing address field (current process) 23 Main Street APT 3B

Address Line: 23 main Street APT 3B

Unit:  "null"

B Address Field is entered the same as scenario #1; Unit ID contains only the Unit Number and not the Unit designation (APT, NUM, etc), so as to not send duplicate data downstream 23 Main Street APT 3B

Address Line: 23 Main Street APT 3B

Unit: 3B

Unacceptable Submission Methods

Scenario Scenario Description Street Address Example Unacceptable Downstream Format
C Address Field contains only the respective address, with only the unit number provided and not the designation 23 Main Street  APT 3B Address Line: 23 Main Street                                                                                        Unit: 3B

Edit Update(s)

A new edit will be put in place to enforce the submission logic displayed above, which will read as follows:
"If the unit number is provided in Unit Identifier then it must also be included in the Street Address. Only provide the unit number, not the unit designator (APT, Unit, etc.), in the Unit Identifier.

When to Deliver a Borrower Mailing Address

For primary residences, the property address and mailing address are expected to be the same. The mailing address is where the borrower wishes to receive mail within 60 days after loan closing.

If the borrower specifies the mailing address differs from the property address, set the Borrower Mail To Address Same As Property Indicator (Sort ID 572) to No.

In that case, the following fields must be provided:

  • Street Address (Sort ID 548)
    • Must include a complete street address with a number and street name, or a P.O. Box followed by a letter or number
  • Zip Code (Sort ID 557)
  • Country (Sort ID 555)

Please ensure these fields are accurately populated to support downstream processing and compliance.
