Tribe Name Information

Loan Delivery provides lenders the ability to enter a borrower’s enrolled or principal tribe name as it appears in the loan application.

Enrolled or principal tribe name information can be found on the loan application in the Demographic Information of Borrower section as seen here.

Entering Borrower’s Tribe Name in Loan Delivery

Loan Delivery provides a text box field for Enrolled/Principal Tribe Name as seen below.

When to Select this Option

Text box – Name of Enrolled or Principal Tribe  

If a borrower entered a value in the box following Enter name of enrolled or principal tribe, enter that value here.

Follow these steps to enter the tribe name information.

  1. Select the applicable race value.

NOTE: When providing a Tribe Name value, the borrower does not have to select the higher-level Race value American Indian or Alaska Native. However, if both Race and Tribe Name are provided by the borrower, they should both be reported to Fannie Mae at delivery.

  1. Click Add Race.

  2.  If an Enrolled/Principal Tribe Name was provided, type the Enrolled/Principal Tribe Name in the text box.

  3. Click Delete Race to remove any Enrolled/Principal Tribe Name and Race.

  4. Click Save after all the fields have been completed.
