Race Designation Information

Loan Delivery provides lenders the ability to enter a borrower’s Race Designation as it appears in the loan application. If a borrower selects multiple Race Designation options, the lender can select Add Designation to include all options.

Race designation information can be found on the loan application in the Demographic Information of Borrower section as seen here.

Entering Borrower’s Race Designation Information in Loan Delivery

Loan Delivery provides a list of eleven specified race designation values as well as two text box Race Designation options as seen below.

Borrower Race Designation Options
Loan Delivery Race Designation Value	When to Select this Option
Asian Indian	If the borrower selects the box next to Asian Indian on the loan application, select this option.
Chinese	If the borrower selects the box next to Chinese on the loan application, select this option.
Guamanian or Chamorro	If the borrower selects the box next to Guamanian or Chamorro on the loan application, select this option.
Filipino	If the borrower selects the box next to Filipino on the loan application, select this option.
Japanese	If the borrower selects the box next to Japanese on the loan application, select this option.
Korean	If the borrower selects the box next to Korean on the loan application, select this option.
Native Hawaiian	If the borrower selects the box next to Native Hawaiian on the loan application, select this option.
Samoan	If the borrower selects the box next to Samoan on the loan application, select this option.
Vietnamese	If the borrower selects the box next to Vietnamese on the loan application, select this option.
Other Asian	If the borrower selects the box next to Other Asian on the loan application, select this option.
Other Pacific Islander	If the borrower selects the box next to Other Pacific Islander on the loan application, select this option.
Text box - Other Asian Description	If a borrower entered a value in the box following Other Asian – Enter race, enter that value here.
Text box - Other Pacific Islander Description	If a borrower entered a value in the box following Other Pacific Islander – Enter race, enter that value here.

Follow these steps to enter the race information.

1. Select the applicable race value.

NOTE: When providing a Race Designation value such as Samoan, the borrower does not have to select the higher-level Race value Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander. However, if both Race and Race Designation are provided by the borrower, they should both be reported to Fannie Mae at delivery.

2. Click Add Race.
   
   

3. Click Add Designation.
   
   

4. Select the applicable option from the Designation drop down menu.
   
   

5. Type the Other Pacific Islander Description, if applicable.
   
   

6. Type the Other Asian Description, if applicable.
   
   

7. Repeat this process for all Designations provided within this Race.

8. Click the trash can icon to delete a Race Designation.
   
   

9. Click Save after all the fields have been completed.
