  • Simplified Application Creation Process – The number of steps to generate an application will be reduced.
  • Birth-righted Organization Access - Users will no longer need to request role access to the Developer Portal if their organization already has access.
  • Updated Homepage / Dashboard – The homepage and your personalized dashboard has been refreshed to allow for an improved user experience.
  • HTTP Verbs & API Roles – You will now see exactly which API roles you have access to, with a brief description of how to get access to those you do not.

  • Technology Service Provider (TSP) app creation role access – API access for the TSP will now be determined by the shared roles the TSP has with the Lender System ID in the UI
  • Usability Enhancements – Various design changes were made to allow for a better user experience 
  • (tentative) Client Secret Regeneration – The Client Secret in your application can now be regenerated

February 6, 2020 Developer Portal

Payload WAF Limitation –The AWS payload limitation has been adjusted to allow users to generate a key for up to 8KBs worth of APIs

Internet Explorer Banner– Text notification has been added to notify Internet Explorer users of end of support for older versions of Internet Explorer

cURL Copy Ability – On the Get Started guide, users can now see cURL requests for all environments, instead of manually changing the commands based on the environment

Personalized Dashboard Dropdown – The Technology Solution provider and the Lender dropdown option was switched on the Personalized Dashboard view

Usability Enhancements – Various design changes were made to allow for a better mobile experience

November 7, 2019 Developer Portal

Feedback Box — Users will now have the option to submit feedback at any time throughout their experience with the Developer Portal.

API Versioning – Users will have the ability to leverage all necessary documentation for each supported version of our APIs.

Search Functionality on the API Catalog – A new search field tool will enable users to search for a specific API within the API Catalog.

Personalized Dashboard – Users will be welcomed with a personalized dashboard that provides all of the relationship information pertaining to the logged-in user, including the role associated with their User ID, the Technology Solution Providers with whom they have a relationship and any System IDs they have access to.

September 26, 2019 Developer Portal    

Auth Code Delete Capability — Organization (Org) Admins/Lenders can delete Auth Codes for any Technology Solution Provider (TSP) under them. In this process, the Org Admin will view the Auth Code unmasked, receive a Reference ID and a copy of a follow up email to the TSP with a notification of that deletion. Updated instructions on this process can be found in the “Get Started” guide as well as the FAQ section inside Developer Portal.

Historical Release Notes — Users can now access information on previous Developer Portal releases in a consolidated location.

Anchor API Catalog — Users can now copy the designated URL of a specific API within the API Catalog for future reference without having to search for it.

TSP Approved Auth Code Message — When a Technology Solution Provider (TSP) is generating a key, the approval message they see is now updated to better explain that the Org Admin/Lender has a specific amount of time to approve their request.

June 14, 2019 Developer Portal

"Download Swagger” button removed from Internet Explorer — Due to a universal issue with Internet Explorer, users can no longer download any API swagger when viewing in Internet Explorer. Use another browser to download swagger.

Safari — Improved browser experience when viewing on a mobile device.

Enhanced Getting Started Guide — The URLs within the Getting Started Guide have been updated to reflect the latest information as well as some new information related to Auth Credentials.

March 5, 2019 Developer Portal

URL Copy Capability in the Getting Started Guide — Users can now select to copy the URL button in its exact format instead of doing so manually.

API Key Changed to Auth Key for Technology Solution Provider — Inside the key generation process, the experience has been enhanced for Technology Solution Providers.

Copy Button Glitch in Internet Explorer — Bug fix.

December 19, 2018 Developer Portal Developer Portal Integration Impact Memo — In December 2018, Fannie Mae implemented a new version of the Developer Portal 2.0. The changes in this release affect how lenders and digital alliance partners generate Client IDs, Client Secrets, Authorization Codes, Access Tokens, and API Keys.
